Hand over the tasks as well as the accounts

A list of logins is not enough to operate a service website. The organisation also needs to know who may change the offer, how a corrected report becomes current and where an uncertain enquiry result is investigated. A useful handover makes those ordinary responsibilities possible without reconstructing the development conversation.

Use this guide to prepare an agreed review. The exact scope depends on the delivered system; it does not imply that every project includes a portal, payment connection or ongoing support.

Establish ownership without distributing secrets

Identify who controls the domain, hosting, code repository and each relevant provider subscription. Record authorised administrators, renewal responsibility and recovery arrangements. Passwords and tokens belong in the approved secure account process, not a general project document or public enquiry.

Check that temporary development access has a defined end or continuing purpose. Where the organisation relies on a provider account, distinguish account ownership from the permission to perform sensitive financial or customer operations.

Have the intended person make a routine change

Ask the content owner to update a fictional preparation instruction in the appropriate review environment. They should be able to identify its Arabic counterpart, obtain the required approval and understand how the change becomes visible. A developer performing the task with unrestricted access proves little about the owner's ordinary role.

For a portal, use a fictional corrected report. Review who approves it, how its version is identified and which customer participant may see it. The handover should not make the office responsible for technical report approval simply because it can upload a file.

Explain the receiving path

Document where an enquiry is sent, what confirms storage and who handles an uncertain result. Include the support route for missing records without encouraging users to submit the same request repeatedly. If the system connects to another tool, identify the authoritative record and the evidence used to reconcile disagreement.

Use an ordinary case and a relevant exception during review. Keep the evidence appropriate to the environment: a private fixture, a provider-supported test and an observed production result are different things.

Review recovery as a task

Identify what is backed up, how long it is retained under the agreed policy and who may authorise restoration. Confirm which parts of the system a recovery exercise covers. Restoring website files does not automatically recover a document relationship or reverse an external transaction.

Explain any work that can arrive during restoration and how the operator reconciles it. The objective is a usable account of the service after recovery, not merely a server that starts again.

Leave unresolved matters visible

The handover record should list known limits, open decisions, deferred features and the person responsible for each. Include supported environments, relevant provider dependencies and the actual maintenance arrangement. Do not convert a successful demonstration into an unrestricted warranty or an assumed response commitment.

Record the approved versions of important documents and the date of the review. Future maintainers should be able to distinguish the current operating instruction from a discarded proposal.

Support planning develops the continuing responsibilities. If ownership or access is already unclear, project discovery can define a bounded investigation before anyone promises to maintain an inherited system.
